A timely, crucial, and empowering exploration of racism--and antiracism--in America

This is NOT a history book.
This is a book about the here and now.
A book to help us better understand why we are where we are.
A book about race.

The construct of race has always been used to gain and keep power, to create dynamics that separate and silence. This remarkable reimagining of Dr. Ibram X. Kendi's National Book Award-winning Stamped from the Beginning reveals the history of racist ideas in America, and inspires hope for an antiracist future. It takes you on a race journey from then to now, shows you why we feel how we feel, and why the poison of racism lingers. It also proves that while racist ideas have always been easy to fabricate and distribute, they can also be discredited.

Through a gripping, fast-paced, and energizing narrative written by beloved award-winner Jason Reynolds, this book shines a light on the many insidious forms of racist ideas--and on ways readers can identify and stamp out racist thoughts in their daily lives.

I myself am a student and we read this book in school. It is amazing and I have no idea why you hate it, John Donald. I'm not sure why you would write that but I am ashamed of the school system too. For raising such a terrible disgrace of a human. You.

Phenomenal read. I honestly wish it were a required text for all American Literature or History courses. The truth deserves to be studied, not hidden. Introduce young scholars to this interactive, mind boggling text to spark engaging and knowledgeable conversation.

Dear John Donald, John Donald, what I think you are trying to say is that you are just mad and jealous that you could never be as good as the writer of this book. This is because, if you graduated from Harvard and Yale, then I really would have thought that your grammar and capitalization would be better than this. For example, who starts a sentence with a lowercase letter multiple times? You did. So, instead of being ashamed of the school system, you should be ashamed of yourself for trying to look smart when you don't even know how to start off a sentence with a capital letter. Thank you.

A Book I Wish Every Child had.a truly normative critique on the issue of racism facing america. to "John Donald" not that I trust you but i to am a Phd from Harvard, the only thing i am ashamed of is the fact that this book causes you to write hateful things simply because your open mindedness is nonexistent.

terrible book. read it. bad guy. never read this piece of failed literature. I graduated from Harvard and Yale just to be utterly disappointed by this loser's lack of competence. I am ashamed of the schooling system to have raised such a terrible disgrace of a human.
